Mossback

Mossback was surrendered after his original owner moved into assisted living. He's a Russian tortoise — one of the smaller terrestrial species — and he has a bright, busy personality once he warms up under his basking lamp.

Tortoises are a multi-decade commitment. Mossback could outlive you. He needs a 4'x2' minimum enclosure (outdoor enclosures preferred when the weather allows), UVB lighting, and a diet of dark leafy greens — never iceberg lettuce, never animal protein.
